Perfect Turn Information

Here at Perfect Turn, we want your lesson to be the best it can be. Preparation is key- make sure to review your lesson information in advance.

  • Sugarloaf offers a wide variety of terrain, including extremely challenging trails. Be sure to realistically evaluate your or your child's abilities when choosing your lesson. Instructors reserve the right to move students to the most appropriate program for their ability.

If you're not sure which lesson is right for you, please give us a call to review your options: 207.237.6924

  • Lift tickets are included with: Learn To Ski/Ride. Students will get their lift ticket from their instructor at the lesson.

Lift tickets are not included with: Mountain Experience, Mountain Adventure, or Private Lessons. If you don't have a season pass, you'll need to purchase a day ticket online (pro tip- the earlier you buy, the more you save).

Once you've bought your ticket online, you can pick it up at one of several Online Express Kiosks around the resort.

Your first lift ticket purchase of the season will include a one-time charge of $5 for your Go Card, which can be reloaded at no additional cost throughout the season.

  • If you're renting equipment, be sure to reserve your rentals online in advance. If you're able to pick up your equipment the night before your lesson, please do so in the Rental Shop on the second floor of the Base Lodge. To pick up equipment the day of your lesson, head to the Perfect Turn area on the first floor of the Base Lodge during the times below:

    • Kids: 7:30-8am daily
    • Adult Learn to Ski/Ride Max 4: 9am daily, 9am & 12:30pm Saturdays and vacation weeks
    • Adult Learn to Ski/Ride: 9:30am daily
    • Adult lessons other than Learn to Ski/Ride should coordinate rentals directly with the Rental Shop, open 8am-5pm daily.

Whether you're renting equipment or using your own, helmets are required for everyone participating in Perfect Turn.

  • When skiing or riding in Maine, layering works best. Be sure to have a waterproof jacket, pants, and plenty of layers underneath. Helmets, goggles, a neck gaiter or buff, and gloves are highly recommended for all of our skiing and riding guests. Masks are required for lift lines and inside lodges.

  • With the exception of Adult Learn to Ski/Ride, all lesson participants will meet their instructors outside, ready to go. There will not be access to cubbies or lockers in the base lodge, so please plan accordingly. Plan to arrive at your meeting place 15 minutes before your lesson to check in with your instructor.
