FAQs

No. Hiking on the mountain is at your own risk, and there is no patrol dedicated to hikers. Patrol staff are present for the Bike Park only.

If you need assistance, call Sugarloaf Security at 207-237-6961, and in case of emergency, call 911.

Please be alert and yield to bikers on trails.

The choice is yours. Either hike back down along the service road, a roughly 20-40 minute hike based on ability, or hop back on the lift to enjoy a smooth descent.

The chairlift will run rain or shine, but may be closed during periods of severe weather, including but not limited to heavy wind or lightning.

If you have an ADA service animal, please let us know in advance of your arrival so that we can arrange transport up to the top of the lift by other means.
