Scenic lift rides are no longer available for the season. We hope to see you on the slopes this winter!

The Outpost Adventure Center offers scenic chairlift rides throughout the summer season. Take in the spectacular scenery from the comfort of the SuperQuad, and explore the mountain before enjoying a scenic ride back down.
  • Open Saturdays & Sundays from 10:00am-4:00pm
  • Save when you purchase in advance online. $15 per person online, $20 when purchased in person.
    • All tickets should be purchased online in advance and can be picked up at any Online Express Kiosk located in the Sugarloaf Village, by scanning the QR code included in your purchase confirmation email. 
  • Guests with a 2022/23 winter season pass ride for free
    • Important:  You must have your pass with you in order to ride the lift.

  • If you have purchased a 2022/23 season pass but do not have the physical pass media yet, you can pick up your pass at any Online Express Kiosk in the Sugarloaf Village, by scanning the QR code included in your purchase confirmation email. 

  • Sorry, you must have a 2022/23 season pass in order to receive free summer lift access. 

  • If you purchased a scenic lift ride ticket online, you can pick it up at any of our Online Express kiosks in the Sugarloaf Village. Be sure to bring your purchase confirmation email with you, as you will need to scan the enclosed QR code to pick up your ticket. 

  • The hike from the top of the SuperQuad Chairlift to the Summit takes most people about 15-30 minutes. It's a moderate hike that can be steep in some places, and the views at the top are well worth the effort!

  • No. Hiking on the mountain is at your own risk, and there is no patrol. If you need assistance, call Sugarloaf Security at 207-237-6961. If you have an emergency call 911.

  • You can hike back down the mountain, or take a chairlift. The last chair departs the top of the SuperQuad at 3:45pm. 

  • The chairlift will run rain or shine, but may be closed in severe weather or lighting. 

  • Sorry, bikes and dogs are not allowed on the chairlift. 

  • Summer temperatures at Sugarloaf range between 60-90 degrees. The top of the mountain is typically 15 degrees colder than the base, so be sure to bring a warm layer. Weather can change quickly and without warning.
