Sugarloaf Region Charitable Trust
The Sugarloaf Region Charitable Trust is a private, nonprofit trust dedicated to improving the quality of life in the communities that make up the Sugarloaf area. The trust provides financial assistance to organizations with nonprofit, tax-exempt status. This assistance aims to encourage the growth of existing human service and cultural organizations as well as the development of new organizations that will involve and improve the lives of those who live, work and recreate in the Sugarloaf area. These organizations will be able to rely on a certain level of assistance from the fund and therefore be able to develop long-range growth plans.
The Sugarloaf Charity Summit
The Sugarloaf Charity Summit, Sugarloaf's premier fundraising event, provides an opportunity for Sugarloafers, old and new, to join forces in the fight against cancer. Since its inception, the event has raised more than $4 million for Maine cancer charities.
Events include the annual Charity Challenge, Charity Gala, Cute For A Cure, and more!
Martha B Webber Breast Care Center
WinterKids Downhill 24
This annual fundraiser for the WinterKids organization, the Downhill 24, raises nearly $300,000 each year to help Maine children develop healthy lifestyles and stay active during the winter months.
An event unlike any other: participants ski and ride in teams for 24 consecutive hours, raising money before and during the event to reach a collective goal.
An added benefit to joining this fun and exciting event: it's your only opportunity to ski under the lights here at Sugarloaf.
Homecoming Weekend
Homecoming is an annual fall tradition at Sugarloaf—a time for Sugarloafers, old and new, to come together, celebrate community, and get excited for the winter season ahead. With a mix of festive events and outdoor activities, Homecoming captures the spirit of the mountain while supporting causes that help it thrive for generations to come.
Swig & Swing
Swig & Swing, one of Sugarloaf Golf Club's most popular events, returns each fall to benefit local nonprofits that give area kids the opportunity to participate in skiing and snowboarding. Registration includes an 18-hole scramble, complimentary beer samples from local Maine breweries, and lunch.
Registration is sure to sell out within the first hour of opening; keep an eye on the event listing page ahead of Homecoming weekend for updated details.
Scenic Lift Rides
Proceeds from Scenic Lift Rides, offered on the Whiffletree Quad over Homecoming Weekend, will benefit Sugarloaf's community members. Hop on, enjoy the ride, and take in the view while knowing that your purchase helps to support Sugarloafers in need.
Sugarloaf Uphill Climb
Maine’s toughest mountain run, the Sugarloaf Uphill Climb, returns Sunday during Homecoming Weekend. Starting at the bottom of the SuperQuad, this grueling three-mile course takes runners to the top of Maine’s second-highest peak, while benefiting local organizations that create equitable access to the outdoors.
Sugarloaf Christian Ministry Community Fund
Supports those in the Sugarloaf region who have experienced a loss/disruption of income with monies for food, rent, utilities, prescriptions/medical and related items.
