The Sugarloaf Nordic Inferno returns! Join us for a fun, grass-roots cross-country race that starts on Sugarloaf Mountain and ends at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center.
The annual Sugarloaf Inferno Nordic XC Race returns Sunday, March 8.
This fun, grassroots cross-country race features an alpine and Nordic ski component, offering participants a challenging yet enjoyable course to test their skills.
Helmets are mandatory for Sunday's race.
This race is suitable for advanced Nordic skiers and those ages 10+. Spectating is highly encouraged.
- Day-of registration and bib collection check-in begins at 9 AM.
- Shuttle departures from the Outdoor Center begin at 10 AM—please arrive in time to board.
- Racers will be transported to the Whiffletree Quad, where they will load the lift together by 10:30 AM.
- The race starts at 11 AM.
Route (subject to change): Racers will start at the bottom of the King Pine lift (bottom of Tohaul), head down Cross Haul to Stubs Glade, then take the Inferno trail to Old Race trail, on to the Snowbrook trail, and end in the Outdoor Center stadium.
