Sugarloaf is proud to partner with local organizations to accommodate a wide range of programs for skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities; from elite level training through Carrabassett Valley Academy (CVA) for advanced skies and rider with a desire to compete, to adaptive instruction programs through the Adaptive Outdoor Education Center for skiers and riders with varying developmental abilities

Horizons Program

Horizons is an inclusive ski program for individuals with autism and varying developmental abilities offered by the Adaptive Outdoor Education Center in partnership with Sugarloaf's Snowsports School. The program provides two winter lessons with 1:1 support for each participant, with lessons held on weekends from January to March. Registration is $35. Additional lessons are $25 per lesson. ​6-Lesson package available for $135. Some weekday sessions may be available.

Affordable lessons for Local Kids

Boomauger Ski Program

120 spots for students ages 5-15 in RSU 58, RSU 74, Stratton, and Rangeley. This 8-week series includes lift tickets, lessons, and rentals for just $40, thanks to support from the Sugarloaf Ski Club and King’s Kid Fund. Held Sunday afternoons from January 5 to March 9 (excluding Jan 20 & Feb 16). Chaperones can get a $15 Sunday lift ticket and rentals. Register by December 1 by calling 1-800-THE-LOAF

CVA Weekend Programs

Offering competitive athletes ages 7 to 19 the opportunity to train in Alpine, Freestyle, Ski Cross, and Snowboard on weekends and vacation weeks from December to March.
