Meet & Greet Poster Signing With Sam Morse
Come Meet The Moose
Don't miss your chance to meet one of Maine's very own Olympic athletes—Same Morse, right where it all began on Sugarloaf Mountain.
Sam "Moose" Morse
Please join us in the Competition Room, located between the base of The Landing and Whiffletree Quad, on Saturday, April 4, for an athlete meet-and-greet and poster signing with Maine's very own Olympian Sam Morse, from 4-5 PM.

Sam Morse's story begins right here—on the slopes of Sugarloaf, where he first clicked into skis at just 23 months old, growing up seven minutes from the mountain he calls home.
Nicknamed "Moose" for his solidness and deep Maine roots, Sam followed his brother Ben's footsteps to Carrabassett Valley Academy before earning a spot on the U.S. Ski Team in 2014. He announced himself to the world in 2017 by capturing the FIS Junior World Championships downhill title in Åre, Sweden—and hasn't looked back since.
A 10-year veteran of the U.S. Speed Team, Sam made his Olympic debut at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games, finishing 19th in Downhill and 23rd in Super-G—proudly representing Maine and the mountain that shaped him on the world's biggest stage.
Off the slopes, Sam is a registered Maine Guide, leading wilderness trips and pursuing whitewater kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing, and mountain biking. He founded FAST (Faith and Ski Training) Camps at Mount Hood, a program dedicated to developing young racers as both athletes and people, and volunteers with Winter Special Olympics—right here at Sugarloaf.
Whether he's dropping into a downhill course at 80 mph or paddling a remote river in the Maine woods, Sam Morse does it with purpose, grit, and the quiet confidence of someone who knows exactly where he came from.
We couldn't be prouder to call him one of our own.
Welcome home, Moose
