Media Notice: Sugarloaf Mountain Hotel to host emergency readiness drill on November 10

CARRABASSETT VALLEY, Maine (November 5, 2019) - The Sugarloaf Mountain Hotel will host a large scale emergency readiness exercise at 10am on Sunday, November 10.

Designed as a learning exercise for resort staff and local rescue agencies, the exercise will simulate a full-scale emergency requiring a complete evacuation of the hotel. The exercise is being coordinated by the Carrabassett Valley Fire Department, Carrabassett Valley Police Department, and other local agencies, together with Sugarloaf staff.

Though the drill will involve numerous agencies and rescue vehicles, it is not expected to impact or disrupt resort business or local traffic.
