Congratulations to everyone who ran the Uphill Climb; results are now in, and we'll be posting photos in the Facebook event soon. Make sure to register for the 2020 Sugarloaf Marathon before the sore muscles kick in tomorrow!
Register by Sep 13 for the lowest prices.
Race starts at 11:00 AM
Complimentary lunch and beverages at Bullwinkle's
Just like our founders, Amos Winter and the Bigelow Boys, you'll be trudging up the mountain with your hands, legs and heart. This is no cake walk. You'll run from the base of Sugarloaf to the summit (about 2400 vertical feet). You'll sweat. You'll gasp for breathe. And in the end, you'll have tackled the toughest mountain run in Maine.
- Includes custom registration gift, lunch and beverages at Bullwinkle's.
- Open to all ages.
- Starting at the SuperQuad, racers will run/hike/trudge about 2400 vertical feet to the summit.
- There will be two water stops along the course, offering water only.
- This race will occur rain or shine, so please plan accordingly and bring plenty of extra layers for the summit.
- No racers will be allowed on-course who have not registered, received a bib, or signed a liability release.

In sports, few titles carry the prestige of "Triple Crown." Now is your chance to join the ranks of Secretariat and American Pharaoh with a Triple Crown title of your own.
Successfully complete the Sugarloaf Marathon or 15K, The Flume, and the Sugarloaf Uphill Climb, and you'll receive a special, commemorative "Triple Crown" award, and enjoy 10% off registration fees for all three races next year.
Inspiration for the races comes from the rugged men and women who called this place home - loggers, Amos Winter, Bigelow Boys and mountain men. This year's top two finishers will receive a beautiful Allagash Cruiser Axe created by Brant & Cochran.
Each division will also be awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in both the men's and women's categories.
All participants will receive a custom registration gift and complimentary lunch at Bullwinkle's immediately following the race. Microbrew beer will also be complimentary to all racers who are 21+ years old. Proper ID required.
