Proceeds Benefit Childrens' Charities
The Stone Doctors got their formal start back in 2001 in Montreal. While they originally started out as a Rolling Stones cover band "just for fun," they quickly wanted to turn it into something more, 'something that could help others', according to founding member Ian Dickey. The group gives 100% of their money earned from gigs to benefit charities. In the past nine years alone, the Stone Doctors have raised over $350,000 for charities, most of which focus on helping children with cancer.
