CARRABASSETT VALLEY, Maine – Donavon Frankenreiter, the singer, songwriter, and professional surfer whose music has sold millions of copies around the world, will bring his unique sound to Sugarloaf on March 17, 2012. The show will be part of Sugarloaf’s Bud Light Concert Series, which brings nationally recognized musical acts to the resort throughout the winter.
Growing up in Southern California, Frankenreiter picked up his first surfboard at the age of ten and was surfing professionally by the time he was 15. He picked up his first guitar at age 16 and his lift has been guided by the two obsessions ever since.
Frankenreiter released his first solo album, Donavon Frankenreiter, in 2004 under Jack Johnson’s Brushfire Records label. He has release three additional records since that time and has gone on to tour the world and perform with some of the biggest names in the music incustry, including Johnson, Ben Harper, and G. Love.
Frankenreiter’s latest release, Glow, was released in 2010 to critical acclaim and commercial success, with a strong backing band and electric instrumentation mixing with Frankenreiter’s classic, acoustic sound.
