Sugarloaf Ski Shop
A gearhead's nirvana. We carry every layer of cold weather clothing imaginable, scads of accessories like goggles, glasses and so many skis that if we laid them end to end, they would form a wicked long congo line. We're not at the heart of the Village. We are the heart. Oh yeah, and you'll love our friendly salesfolk. They are very intelligent about snow sports.

Layers
Dressing in layers is the best way to go.
Pants
Wear a pair of pants that will shed the snow. It helps if they are a bit loose in the legs.
Socks
Carry one pair of good ski socks with you to put on just before your boots. You want them dry. The socks can't be loose because wrinkles hurt! Two pairs of socks do not work! There are many great socks on the market that will make feet happier.
Long Underwear
It is a good idea to have long underwear or tights. Try not to wear the kind that have a strap that goes under your foot.
Mittens or Gloves
Well insulated, waterproof, and breathable materials are best. Knitted materials are not effective as they get wet quickly.
Hat
Even if you don't usually wear a hat, today will be a good day to at least have a warm one in your pocket.
Goggles
We recommend goggles to help keep the face warm and the sun's glare out of your eyes.
Sunglasses
If it is bright out on the snow, sunglasses can be helpful.
Helmet
We offer helmet rental at our snowboard rental shop and we strongly recommend their use.
