Sugarloaf...The Mountain
Maine's second highest peak at 4,237 feet, Sugarloaf is the only lift-serviced above-treeline skiing in the East. With a Vertical drop of 2,820 ft. Sugarloaf's is the most continuous in New England. There are 134 trails to choose from with enough terrain to keep both the beginner and expert skier and snowboarder happy.
Outdoor Center
If you are interested in trying your hand at some other activities, the Outdoor Center has plenty to offer. The Sugarloaf Outdoor Center offers Cross-country skiing on 100km of the best-groomed trails in the East, a warm, comfortable lodge with magnificent views, an olympic-size skating rink, snowshoeing, and more. All of these options await you just one mile south of the access road to Sugarloaf.
Getting to the Mountain
Worried about how to get here? Flights and bus service are available to Portland, Boston and Bangor. Trains are available to Boston and Portland. Transfer service and rental cars are available at airports and stations.
Sugarloaf's remote location can come as a surprise to a first-time Sugarloafer, but with a little preparation one can come to realize the charm that keep so many coming back year after year.

Already know when you're coming? Buy tickets online and save 10%. Are you a first-timer? Purchase a Learn-to-Ski/Snowboard package. Do you intend to make the mountain a second home? Start enjoying the freedom of skiing and riding with a season pass; no ticket windows, just go to the lifts and take one run or 30 runs, its up to you.

Perfect Turn Lessons
Learning to ski and ride at Sugarloaf is a blast. For one thing, we have developed our own system called the Guaranteed Learning Method, which combines graduated ski lengths and progressive slope difficulty with the renowned Perfect Turn coaching system.
There is always room to improve no matter what your ability so take a group lesson or private clinic.
Tubing
Sugarloaf offers tubing for kids on the Birches three nights a week. Enjoy a fun night outside under the lights!
Antigravity Center
At the foot of Sugarloaf, the Carabassett Valley Antigravity Recreational Complex (AGC) is a 20,000-square foot facility that boasts Maine's largest indoor skate bowl and one of the most aggressive street park designs currently constructed in New England. Other features include trampolines with harness rigging, an indoor rock climbing wall, and a multi-purpose court with running track along with weight training and aerobic facilities
Child Care
Are your little ones not quite ready for the mountain? Our child care facilities are licensed by the State of Maine Department of Human Services and are staffed with professional, fun-loving people whose goal is to make your child's vacation, and in turn, your vacation, delightful! Our program is for children from 10 weeks to 5 years of age.
Or try Mooseketeers, a fun-filled, positive first experience on skis! Willing 3-year olds are introduced to the slopes through special games and personalized instruction in a 45-minute private coaching session
Dining
Being on the mountain sure can bring on the cravings. Here at Sugarloaf we realize that, which is why we have 12 different places to stop to grab a bite. Grab a coffee at Narrow Gauge to get you going, have quick bite on the mountain at Bullwinkle's, or try a "Widowmaker" burger or soup at The Widowmaker Lounge. Here at Sugarloaf we are always trying to find a way to keep you entertained. Check out the Calendar of Events to see what they have planned. Whether it is Festival Night, Fireworks, or live concerts at the Widowmaker there is something for everyone in the family.
Sports and Fitness
No need to let your exercise regiment disappear during your vacation. The Sugarloaf Sports and Fitness Center services guests at both the Sugarloaf Inn and the Condominiums. Staying at the Sugarloaf Mountain Hotel? Guests have access to the Hotel's very own fitness center. Just want to relax? Sit in the Jacuzzi or make an appointment at the Sugarloaf Sports and Fitness Center for Massage Therapy or Spa Treatment.
