A wedding at Sugarloaf is one to be remembered for a lifetime. Located in the Western Mountains of Maine, Carrabassett Valley and Sugarloaf Mountain provide a backdrop for your ceremony of towering mountains, majestic forests, and pristine rivers, lakes and streams.
The Sugarloaf Resort has the function space to accommodate any size ceremony and reception. And our experienced staff will help you plan the perfect wedding, whether traditional or non-traditional, intimate or extravagant. Ceremonies can be conducted in the outdoors on the “Bridal Bridge” or the slopes of Sugarloaf Mountain, or inside at the Bell Interfaith Chapel or in one of our many spacious function rooms. Receptions of varying sizes can be conducted in the Avery Ballroom at the Sugarloaf Inn, outside on the lawn of the Sugarloaf Inn or in one of the function rooms at the Sugarloaf Mountain Hotel or Sugarloaf Conference Center.
Our wedding planner simplifies the entire planning process by giving you options for:
- Catered meals ranging from basic hors d’oeuvres to gourmet dinners. You can select from a set menu or create your own from our numerous dish selections to best meet your tastes

The whole experience that Sugarloaf provided for our wedding was excellent. The food, accommodations, chapel and natural setting were all outstanding as was the service we received. Being residents of the Kennebunks, Sugarloaf didn’t seem like the “obvious” choice to many of our guests, but it certainly was the right one, as almost everyone remarked it was the best wedding they ever attended!
