You Can't Stay Mad: Take Winter Back
In mid February the mood at the Loaf was...negative (except at the Rack, stouts make everything happy). This winter was just no good for our purposes.
But now, March has arrived with a nuclear snowstorm and it's time to take Old Man Winter back; forgive him for his past transgressions.
If the 20" of snowfall wasn't enough, the Loaf will get a little refresher on Saturday. Nothing crazy, but a low pressure system retrograding in from the Northeast will spread snow into Northern Maine and eventually the mountains.
Before the light snow begins look for temperatures in the upper 20s to low 30s.
Total amounts will end up around 2" with maybe 3" on the summit.
Sunday is beautiful with partly cloudy skies and temperatures pushing into the mid 30s at the base.
There was the threat of a another big storm on Tuesday of next week but I think that's going to end up a Fish Storm.
Still, we might get clipped with an inverted trough as it passes to our East which could be good for a few inches.
I'll keep in an eye on it.
In the meantime I'll leave you and winter alone....you have some catching up to do.
