Full-time, seasonal, Set-up and operate snowmaking equipment, hydrants and prepare fixed gears for making snow all over the mountain. Rearrange snowmaking lines and blowing equipment, assist other departments snow removal. Physical requirements: Must be able to hike up and down steep terrain in all types of weather conditions.Shuttle Drivers
Full-time & Part-time, seasonal, Provide day and night operation of shuttle service. Park cars and drive 10-30 passenger capacity buses. Provide mountain information to resort Guests. Work as part of a team to provide transportation and information. Must have a safe driving record and ability to drive in adverse conditions. Good communication skills is a must. Part-time, seasonal & temporary, Shovel snow for condominium associations managed by Sugarloaf. Maintain paths and decks, spread sand as needed. Must be physically fit, able to lift up to 50 lbs. and shovel for extended hours. Drivers license helpful but not required.Competition and Event Crew
Full-time, seasonal, Positions typically start in December. Set up, run and tear down of all competitions and events on the mountain. Race or competition experience is helpful but not necessary. Sugarloaf Mountain Hotel Health Club Attendant
Full-time, Seasonal. Primary responsibilities include meeting, greeting, and exceeding guests and owners' service expectations while providing a safe club experience. Duties include daily inspection of overall club, cleaning, laundry and assist in booking massage times and coordinating guest payments. Successful candidate must be dependable, able to multi task, service driven, and want to have fun. Part-time, seasonal, To provide professional track /skate instruction for customers as a group or in private. Conduct Nordic ski lessons for classic or skate disciplines, lead snowshoe tours, lead kid?s programs, race day duties from making Gatorade to sorting bibs and timing. Must have passion for the sport and desire to create an exciting guest experience.

Character

Evening Activities Counselors
Part-time, seasonal, plan and deliver evening activity programs Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings from 12/22/08 to 4/5/09 for ages 5-10 in the Mountain Magic room. Full-time &/or Part-time, seasonal, Full time position is 9pm to 5am or Part time 9pm to 12 or 5am-9am. Candidate is responsible for the daily cleaning of the facility. Sanitize locker rooms, vacuum & mop floors, wash windows, etc. Also responsible for the daily cleaning and maintenance of the pool and hot tubs. Individual must be able to work nights and holidays. Other duties include: common area janitorial work, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting and mopping lobby areas and employee areas, cleaning and restocking bathrooms, and assisting with hotel as needed. Must be a team player, safety conscience, have good guest service skills, and be able to lift and carry linens and trash up and down stairs. Cleaning experience is preferred but will train. Pays hourly wage plus tips and incentives.

Full-time, seasonal (midweek & weekends), Job duties include: taking care of vehicles at end of day, delivering linen and supplies to units, stripping linen and trash from units, delivering linen lists to housekeeping storage closets, removing linens from housekeeping vehicles, special deliveries (cribs, cots, mail, kindling, etc), working in laundry and assist in housekeeping as needed. Must be a team player, safety conscience, have superior guest service skills and be able to lift up to 40lbs. Position requires travel by truck and by foot through varying weather conditions.

Job duties include stripping linens and trash from rooms, making beds vacuumin and dusting, washing windows and walls, cleaning and setting up bathrooms and kitchens, and distributing resort information into rooms. Full & Part –time, seasonal, selling and checking in of children’s program participants. Job entails working with children, computer ticket sales, and direct hands-on customer service with participants and their families. Computer skills are preferred. Hours are full time, 8-3:30, part time, 7:30-1:30 (Sat & Sun).
Outdoor Center Retail & Rental Shop Supervisor
Full-time, seasonal, to oversee the daily operations of the Nordic retail/rental shop. Duties include direct retail sales and front line communication with customers, daily/weekly staff scheduling, supervising and task management of Nordic retail/rental staff. This person is responsible for the daily retail operations and reporting of retail point of sale while interfacing with Sugarloaf peers. Ability to ski and skate is desired, A+ communication and customer service skills are a must. Ideal candidate is a proven team leader, efficient multi-tasker and loves helping inside and out with Winter sports. This position may include outside Winter work requiring candidate to be able to lift 70+/- lbs and be active in a cold environment.
Nordic Pro/Ski Shop Salesperson
Full-time, seasonal, Job starts around 12/1/2007. Provide accurate daily trail/wax info to guests, fit rental equipment and provide sales assistance to guests. Maintain and clean lodge facilities daily, handle cash and lead outdoor programs and teach lessons as assigned. Must be active, physically fit and able to be on your feet for 8 hours. Basic cross country ski knowledge and skills required, ability and willingness to handle multiple tasks. High school education and retail experience preferred.
