Full Time Seasonal

Seeking organized, detail orientated, self-motivated, enthusiastic team player to join the Building Maintenance Team.  Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Performing basic maintenance on plumbing, electrical, appliances, furniture, and general building maintenance trades.  Must understand oral and written directions.  Must be able to work alone, work safely and have the ability to operate basic hand and power tools. Must have reliable vehicle and hold valid drivers license. Must be able to lift 75 pounds.

This job pays minimum wages plus incentive.

 The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 3 years IT experience but would consider a stellar candidate with an Associate's degree and practical experience.  Duties include but are not limited to computer hardware, troubleshooting,  all help desk requests, new PC installation, printer and copier repair, wireless installations, running wire, administrative duties and any other duties assigned by the IT Director.  Must be able to do heavy lifting, be detail oriented and possess excellent communication skills and superior organizational skills. The ability to ski or ride is a plus.

Marketing Sales & Service

Events and Merchandising Manager

Full Time Year Round

The Events & Merchandising Manager plays a key role in the sales & marketing department.  This person will plan, organize and execute winter and summer events at Sugarloaf. This manager will also be repsonsible for on-mountain marketing and the overall merchandising of profit centers around the resort.  The Events & Merchandising Manager is the authority of what is happening on the mountain and needs to be an internal advocate for the financial success of departments across Sugarloaf.  The position requires a flexible work schedule.  Early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays and work weeks of 60+ hours are common during the winter season.  The ideal candidate will be extremely organized, reliable, and self-motivated, and will have great interpersonal skills, have the ability to multitask, and will carry him or herself with contagious enthusiasm.  Computer skills with Windows applications are required, and knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications is a plus but not required.  


Resort Sales Representative

Full Time Seasonal

Work in Sugarloaf's call center selling lodging packages and various resort amenities. Detailed position with phone, sales, computer/typing and email skills required. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word needed. Must be able to multi-task and like working with people. Required to sit for long periods of time and work in busy call center. Sales incentives, prize incentives and resort benefits offered.


Mountain Operations

Lift Maintenance Electrician

Full Time Year Round

Sugarloaf has position for an electrician with 3+ years fixed grip and detachable experience. Candidate must be a team player, as well as be able to work alone and unsupervised.  Must display good initiative, pay attention to detail, have problem solving skills and self-control and be very safety conscious. Candidate must have knowledge of mechanical equipment, heavy rigging, line work, AC/DC drives, low voltage electrical control circuits, and hydraulic systems. This position requires working at heights in extreme weather conditions and the ability to ski or snowboard. 

 


Lift Mechanic Technician

Full Time Year Round

Sugarloaf has position for a mechanic with 3+ years fixed grip and detachable experience. Snow Controller

Full Time Seasonal

The Snow Controller operates pumps and compressors in the Snowmaking Department. Must have knowledge of running pumps and compressors and be a good communicator. Be able to maximize efficiency, run necessary components according to temperature. Monitor water and air flows; turn compressors and pumps on and off accordingly. Report to the snowmaking manager and keep in contact with snowmakers about equipment running on the mountain. Need to be able to run computer program for water pumps, compressors, maintenance logs. Apply pertinent information from computer to the snowmaking operation.


Snowmakers

Full Time Seasonal

 Responsibilities include but are not limited to; operating snow making equipment on mountainous terrain in all types of weather including set up, start up, operation of and shut down of snow making equipment, checking snow gun functioning capacity and monitoring snow quality. Must be able to work flexible schedule including day and night shifts, weekends and holidays, and be able to negotiate all types of terrain while maneuvering snow making equipment. You must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions. All shifts available with an anticipated start date in early November.
Qualified applicant must be at least 18 years old and able to lift, bend, kneel and carry a minimum of 40 lbs.

The Downhill Supply Company is looking for men and women who are passionate about skiing and ski culture, and are driven to become integral player on a fast paced, hard working, professional team. Canididates need to be able to provide exceptional customer service in our hardgoods section. All applicants are expected to learn about all facets of all of our business including retail sales (skis, boots, clothing, and accessories) and the rental/demo set-up process. They must also be able to provide bootfitting services and handle customer special orders.
