Building Maintenance & Grounds Keeping

Building Maintenance Tech

Full Time Seasonal

Seeking organized, detail orientated, self-motivated, enthusiastic team player to join the Building Maintenance Team.  Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Performing basic maintenance on plumbing, electrical, appliances, furniture, and general building maintenance trades.  Must understand oral and written directions.  Must be able to work alone, work safely and have the ability to operate basic hand and power tools. Must have reliable vehicle and hold valid drivers license. Must be able to lift 75 pounds.

 


Equipment Operators

Snow removal from our Condominium Associations. Must possess a valid driver's license and have equipment operating experience.

Part Time Seasonal

Shovel snow for condominium associations managed by Sugarloaf.  Maintain paths and decks, spread sand as needed.  Must be physically fit, able to lift up to 50 lbs. and shovel for extended hours.  Drivers license helpful but not required.

Open position: Child Care Center Supervisor: Supervise staff and assist Director with operations of an Occasional Care Child Care Center, licensed for 60 children ages 10 weeks to 5 years' Experience in a licensed facility required, must meet State of Maine Child Care Licensing requirements. 4-5 days a week, including weekends and holiday periods.

Meeting the psychological and physical needs of children in our care; age range of 10 weeks to six years in age specific groupings but most of time will be spent working with infants and toddlers. Experience working in an organized child care center or background in Early Childhood Education preferred, minimum of HS diploma required. Must meet Maine State Dept. of Human Services licensing requirements including attending training classes and successfully complete CPR, 1st aid certification. Mid week Availability is a must.

Job duties include:  sorting, washing, drying, ironing, folding and storing linens, bagging linens and supplies for housekeeping, checking linens quality and participate in housekeeping as needed. This position requires lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying linens.  It also requires standing in one position for long periods of time.  Must be a team player and safety conscience.  Position will start mid-December.


Room Attendant

Duties include cleaning and servicing guest rooms, reporting maintenance issues, assisting in laundry or public area cleaning when needed. Must be able to work with a team, do physical work, work weekends and holidays and be able to lift at least 30 lbs. 


Base Services Janitor

Full Time Seasonal

To perform routine custodial duties i.e., vacuuming, general cleaning, bathroom cleaning, trash and litter removal, dusting.  Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to the setup of all conferences and events, perform minor repairs to equipment and structure as well as assist with any task(s) related to the upkeep of facilities and the safety of our guests. Candidate must be willing to work a variety of shifts and hours and the position requires some lifting.  

 


Condo Housekeepers

Job duties include: stripping linens and trash from rooms, making beds, vacuuming and dusting, washing windows and walls, cleaning and setting up bathrooms and kitchens, and distributing resort information into rooms. Other duties include assisting in the laundry departments. Must be a team player, safety conscience, have good guest service skills, and lift up to 30lbs.-- Weekly work schedule: Monday thru Sunday

The purpose of this position is to service the needs of our guests, condominium owners and other department's needs during the daytime hours. Job duties include responding to and delivering items to guests/owners, assist housekeepers, laundry attendants and other departments, and cleaning of common areas as needed. Sugarloaf has position for an electrician with 3+ years fixed grip and detachable experience. Candidate must be a team player, as well as be able to work alone and unsupervised.  Must display good initiative, pay attention to detail, have problem solving skills and self-control and be very safety conscious. Candidate must have knowledge of mechanical equipment, heavy rigging, line work, AC/DC drives, low voltage electrical control circuits, and hydraulic systems. This position requires working at heights in extreme weather conditions and the ability to ski or snowboard. 

 


Lift Mechanic Technician

Sugarloaf has position for a mechanic with 3+ years fixed grip and detachable experience. Candidate must be a team player, as well as be able to work alone and unsupervised.  Must display good initiative, pay attention to detail, have problem solving skills and self-control and be very safety conscious. Lift Operator

Full Time

Must be able to work outdoors during the winter in varying weather conditions.  Successful candidates must enjoy working with the public and be able to develop good working relationships with co-workers and employees from other departments.  Skiing/snowboarding ability is not required, but is a plus.  High school diploma or GED preferred.  Must be capable of delivering superior guest service!


Shuttle Bus Drivers

Full and Part Time Seasonal

Provide day and night operation of shuttle service. Park cars and drive 10-30 passenger capacity buses. Provide mountain information to resort Guests. Work as part of a team to provide transportation and information. Must have a CDL and a safe driving record and ability to drive in adverse conditions. Good communication skills are a must. Must be at least 18 years old.


Parking Attendant

Primary responsibilities of this position are to direct guest to park in a safe and efficient manner. Greet guests, answer questions regarding Sugarloaf and its surrounding area, and help load/unload gear, skis and luggage to cars/shuttles.

Attend to customers needs, make reservations on computer, sell tickets and programs, answer phones and assists Director and Supervisors in day-to-day operations.Knowledge of skiing and snowboarding important. Must have computer skills. Requires working weekends and school vacation weeks and Holidays.


Moose Caboose Driver

Full and Part Time Seasonal

Knowledge of snowmobiles, ability to maneuver through crowds safely, ability to work on minor problems on the machinery.  Driver is responsible for driving a snow machine pulling a sled with children on it. Must have experience working with small children, have a strong back and arms and have a great sense of humor.  Safety training on machinery and snowmobile usage helpful.


Perfect Turn Children's Program Cook/Inside Helper

Full and Part Time Seasonal

Oversee the operation of the indoor facility, keep it organized and efficient. Assistant Ski Pros, and Supervisors and ensure that guests needs are being met. Manage the inside areas and see to the children's needs, and assume responsibility for indoor acitivities. Prepare lunch daily, and assist in other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Maintenance Foreman

SPORTS AND FITNESS CLUB 

 MAINTENANCE FOREMAN

The right candidate is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility. Also, responsible for hiring, training and overseeing 3rd shift cleaning staff.  The maintenance foreman is responsible for all preventative maintenance and repairs of machines, spas, pool, appliances, etc.  Order all supplies and act as safety coordinator for the department.  High school education and previous related work experience is necessary. The right candidate must have general knowledge of pool, spa maintenance, plumbing and electrical. The maintenance foreman must be flexible with work schedule and be able to work some 3rd shifts.  Also, must be able to lift up to 50lb.
