Locals' Week

During the week of November 30 - December 4, 2015, residents of Carrabassett Valley, Farmington, Freeman, Kingfield, New Portland, New Vineyard, Phillips, Rangeley, Stratton, and Strong receive free lift tickets, and free equipment rentals as part of our annual Locals' Week. Valid ID is required.

Downhill Supply Co. Demo Days

Downhill Supply Co. invites skiers and riders to test out the latest offerings from the ski industry's top manufacturers during this year's Demo Day, December 5, 2015.  Companies represented will include Volkl, Head, Nordica, Atomic, K2, Rossignol, Fischer, Salomon, Parlor, Burton, Blizzard, Icelantic and Lucid; all of which can be found right in DSC. The cost to demo skis is just $5 per person; valid ID required. Registration will be held in the Maple Room of the Base Lodge and vendors will be set up at the base of the SuperQuad.

Sugarloaf Holiday Gift Bazaar

Sugarloaf proudly hosts the Holiday Gift Bazaar featuring photography, artwork, jewelry, quilted items, soaps, fleece items, Christmas ornaments and much more. The Sugarloaf Mountain Hotel will be overflowing with one-of-a-kind items for that special someone on your holiday shopping list. Vendors will be set up in the Sugarloaf Mountain Hotel on Saturday, Dec 12th from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm and Sunday, Dec 13 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.


Holiday Tree Lighting & Fireworks

Join us on Saturday, December 12, 2015 for a holiday tree lighting festival, featuring a Santa parade down Main Street, Christmas carolers, kids entertainment, street performers, plus the grand tree-lighting at 6pm, followed by a special fireworks display on the Beach. Summit Snowshoe Shuffle

Join us for our Sugarloaf Charity Summit kick-off event, Wednesday December 30, 2015 at 10:00am, at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center. The Summit Snowshoe Shuffle is a fun snowshoe stroll through the Maine woods to benefit the Maine Cancer Foundation and the Martha B. Webber Breast Care Center. Enjoy a rolling, well groomed snowshoe course that you can enjoy individually or with a team!





New Year's Eve Family Celebration & Fireworks

Sugarloaf's Family New Year's Eve Party will take place on Thursday, December 31st starting at 7:30PM

The event will conclued with a spectacular fireworks display on the Beach at 9:15 pm.

Bud Light College Snowfest Week

The 2016 Bud Light College Snowfest Week will be the biggest college party in New England ski country....again. This event has the hottest shows and rowdiest parties for college co-eds. We proved that in 2015, and we're ready to do it again in 2016.  Awesome music and partying + amazing deals on skiing and lodging + Sugarloaf=College Snowfest Week. This years event will take place Jan 4 - 7, 2016.

Glowlight Parade and Fireworks

Come join the Sugarloaf Community and enjoy a spectacular fireworks display and Glowlight parade on the Beach! The glowlight parade will be performed by children from the Perfect Turn Ski & Snowboard School; display scheduled to begin at 6:15 pm.

Children's Festival Week

A week that's all about the kids. Join us for Children's Festival Week at Sugarloaf, featuring special events and activities for families both on and off the slopes. Packages include lodging, lift tickets, and ski school programs, and best of all, kids 14 and receive free lift tickets, rentals, and Perfect Turn clinics with a stay of 3 or more nights. Check back later in the season for a complete schedule of the week's activities!

MLK Jr. Weekend

Escape to Sugarloaf with the whole family during the long Martin Luther King Jr Weekend. Great snow, mid-season conditions on the mountain, and non-stop, family-friendly entertainment are sure to round out a great ski weekend!

Bud Light Uncovered January 16

Bud Light Uncovered presents a FREE concert event by The Ghost Of Paul Revere on Saturday, January 16th in the Widowmaker Lounge. The show starts at 9PM, you won't want to miss this one!

Sugarloaf Restaurant Week

Sugarloaf Charity Summit

"Raising a mountain of money to find a cure." Join us for the Annual Sugarloaf Charity Summit on January 30, 2016! With day and evening events both on and off the slopes, the Sugarloaf Charity Summit has raised over $2,000,000 for Maine Charities. All proceeds from Charity Summit events will benefit the Martha B. Webber Breast Care Center and the Maine Cancer Foundation. Visit for more information! 

Maine Winter Special Olympics

Now in its 47th year, Sugarloaf Mountain welcomes the proud families and courageous athletes for the annual Special Olympics. For more information on the Maine Special Olympics, please visit and check back later for detailed schedule of events.

Fireworks and Torchlight Parade

In honor of the athletes participating in the Maine Winter Special Olympics, join us on The Beach to enjoy a Torchlight Parade and spectacular fireworks display. The parade and fireworks are scheduled to begin at 7:00pm, following the Winter Games' Opening Ceremony.

5th Annual New England Blind & VI Ski Festival

This 4 day ski camp is dedicated to enjoying winter sports with blind and visually impaired skiers. In addition to providing ski lessons to beginners through advanced skiers that have a visual impairment, this festival is also committed to teaching friends and family who are interested in how to become guides.

USSA Holeshot Tour

The Sugarloaf Competition Center will host the USSA Holeshot Tour February 29 - March  3, 2015. The Holeshot Tour is a skier and snowboard cross series designed to bridge the gap between grassroots and World Cup level racing. Come check out the high energy group racing on Sidewinder!

Demo Days With Powe Snowboards

Join us on March 5th & 6th for a free Demo event with Powe Snowboards. Powe will be set up by the Superquad all day Saturday and Sunday, come check out their eco-firendly boards and take one for a test ride!

Annual Sugarloaf Social

Maine Adaptive hosts it's Annual Sugarloaf Social at the Outdoor Center on March 5. Tickets will be $50 in advance, or $60 at the door.The event benefits Maine Adaptive Sports & Recreation in support of their year-round adaptive recreational programming for individuals with permanent physical disabilities. WinterKids Downhill 24

Sugarloaf is proud to announce that the WinterKids Downhill 24 event will be hosted here this year and will be the first time in history that Sugarloaf's slopes have been lit! The 4th Annual WinterKids Downhill 24 at Sugarloaf is a fundraising event to benefit WinterKids programs, to be held Friday, March 11 - Saturday, March 12, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. Ski as much or as little as you'd like, but most of all come have fun, raise some money, & celebrate WinterKids. The D24 is designed for people of all ages & ability. Sign up as an individual, or team (up to 12). There will be 'round the clock entertainment - live bands, beer garden, comedy, plenty of food, coffee, & cool prizes! For more info, visit the Winterkids page or the registration site right here! 

Ski the East Freeride Tour

Back again in 2016, Ski the East will be returning to Sugarloaf for another Ski the East Freeride Tour event stop! Don't miss this big mountain skiing contest that brings out the gnarliest skiers from New England to throwdown on Sugarloaf's steep, fall-line terrain. Event date will be Sat, March 12 with a weather day on Sun, March 13 if necessary. Don't miss it! Check out the rest of the Ski the East Freeride tour here!

Budlight Uncovered Presents Pink Talking Fish

Bud Light Uncovered presents a FREE concert event by Pink Talking Fish on Saturday, March 19th in the Widowmaker Lounge. The show starts at 9PM, don't forget your dancing shoes!

6th Annual Sugarloaf Banked Slalom

The 6th annual Banked Slalom hosted by Sugarloaf and Olympian Seth Wescott returns in March 2016. Check out one of the coolest snowboard-only race events in New England, complete with sponsor swag, registration parties, two-days of slalom course racing and lobster trophies. The event dates for the 2016 event will be March 19 & 20, 2016. Registration will open near the start of the 15-16 winter season, so stay tuned! 


28th Annual Bud Light Reggae Fest

Hands down, the annual Bud Light Reggae Fest at Sugarloaf is the biggest springtime party in ski country. Last year we celebrated Reggae Fest's 27th anniversary with an incredible lineup,  record-breaking crowds, awesome Spring skiing weather and one heck of a headline show by Stick Figure. Back in 2016 for it's 28th consecutive year, we're pulling out all the stops....again! Additional details to follow! 

East Coast Pond Skimming Championships

The East Coast Pond Skimming Championship is the most important sporting event to take place anywhere in the East.  Just kidding... but they are super entertaining, so grab your garb and get weird as you slide and splash across our frigid lake. Come fly across our pond skim venue on Saturday, April 23rd, 2016 at 1:00 pm! 34th Annual Sugarloaf Marathon & 15K

Now in its 34th year, the Sugarloaf Marathon is Maine's oldest continuously run marathon, drawing hundreds of runners from all over the U.S. and Eastern Canada each year.  Despite the mountainous surrounding, Sugarloaf's course is widely known as Maine's fastest. The final 16 miles of the course have an elevation loss of 980 feet, and it is common for runners to post personal best times on this course. With record attendance years in 2014 and 2015, be sure to sign up early! Registration opens on Sept 1, 2015!  Click here for more information and to register
