Virginia Repertory Theater Presents The Song of Mulan

Join us on Tuesday, Februay 21st in the King Pine Room for family entertainment by the Virginia Repertory Theater: The Song of Mulan.

Show Times: 5:30pm & 7:00pm.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at Guest Services for $7 or at the door for $10 per person.

CVA will hold an open house on Wednedsay, February 22nd.

This open house will give families a unique opportunity to experience student life at the Academy, as CVA staff provides insight into learning, living and training at CVA.

Touch a Snowcat

On Wednesday, February 22nd from 3-4pm the Sugarloaf Groomers will be taking a break so we can all check out the Pink Sugarloaf Snowcat. Come get your picture taken with this incredible machine before it heads out for a long night of grooming magic.

Bob Marley at the Shipyard

Comedian Bob Marley will take the stage at the Shipyard on February 22nd and 23rd.

You won't want to miss New England's King of Comedy. Seen on Leno, Letterman, Conan, Ferguson and Jimmy Fallon. One of the few comedians to have the Late Night Circuit as well as dozens of other TV appearances. Played Detective Greenly in both Boondock Saints Films. Holds the Guinness book record for the Longest Standup Performance by an individual at 40hrs straight. 

February 22nd show 7pm.

February 23rd shows at 6:30pm and 8:30pm.

Horse & Carriage Rides

After a long day on the slopes, relax by taking a horse & carriage ride down Main Street on Thursday, February 23rd.

FREE rides will leave from the front of the base lodge from 3-5pm, look for the sign and wait for it to return.

CVA Alps Seminar: The Rise of the Backcountry

Join CVA ALPS (Alpine Leadership Pursuits for Skiers and Snowboarders) Program Head, Patrick Scanlan, as he discusses The Rise of Backcountry Skiing & Riding: Nationally, Regionally and Locally. 

When: Thursday, February 23, 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. 

Where: Bill and Joan Competition Center, Gondola Room 

This discussion will explore numerous topics around backcountry sport, including the recent explosion in touring technology, increased public interest, implications for the ski industry, adaptations in land management, and what we, as skiers & riders, can do to make sure the rise in backcountry exploration remains sustainable.

Moonlight Climb

Join us for a moonlight skin or snowshow up to Bullwinkles where we will enjoy some delicious treats before heading back down the mountain.

Everyone must register for this free event on Friday, February 24th between 10am and 4pm in the Guest Services area of the Base Lodge.

Meet at the base of the Super Quad at 5pm, we will start climbing at 5:30pm. Bring a headlamp and plenty of water, no rides up or down provided.

Snowshoes can be rented at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center 207-237-6830.

Touring equipment can be rented at the Downhill Supply Company - 207-237-6990

Swimmer will hit the Widowmaker Stage on Friday, February 24th as part of our February school vacation week entertainment lineup. 

This Burlington, VT progressive rock-fusion band blends rock, funk, jazz and electronica to create a unique and powerful sound. This is a show you won't want to miss.

Winterkids Downhill 24

It's the only night of the year to ski under the lights at Sugarloaf;  The 5th Annual WinterKids Downhill 24 is March 3-4, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 9 a.m. 

The Downhill 24 is a team ski challenge & fundraiser to benefit WinterKids! Teams compete to see who can clock the most runs in 24 hours and who can raise the most money for WinterKids We'll set up lights, allowing for night skiing, to registered participants only, during the event.

GoldenOak at the Widowmaker Lounge

GoldenOak will hit the Widowmaker Stage on Friday, February 3rd for a 21+ only night show at 9pm.

From the foothills of Western Maine comes GoldenOak, a folk group whose genre-blending sound has them steadily emerging as a musical force in New England.

Come rock out to Maine and Montreal's preeminent Rolling Stones Rock Group. All of their resources and efforts are donated 100%  to charity.

Sugarloaf Ski Club Snowball

The Sugarloaf Ski Club Annual Snowball will take place on Saturday, March 11th in the King Pine Room.

Social 6-7pm

Dinner 7-8pm

Live music performed by the Stone Doctors 8-11pm.

Tickets are $55/per person. Proceeds benefit the SSC scholarship fund.

Ski and Snowboard manufactuers will be set up at the bottom of the Super Quad.

The East Coast Pond Skimming Championship returns to the Loaf on Saturday, April 15th.

Break out your capes and tutus and get ready for good time at the annual East Coast Pond Skimming Championship.
