The YARD - Sugarloaf's Newest Park
Sugarloaf's new signature terrain park is open. Cut from the forest between Lower Narrow Gauge and the SuperQuad lift line, the new park is home to bigger, better, and more terrain park features than have ever been offered at Sugarloaf before. The Yard features 3 sets of jumps with the largest coming in at more than 50 feet. You'll also find many new rails, a hip and more - all right under the SuperQuad where your audience will be watching. Park rangers will be in the park 7 days a week to ensure sweet take offs and landings and assist with park safety. Check back here for the latest list of features, hits, rails, and jibs plus new photos and videos from the park.
SuperPipe and Terrain Parks
Sugarloaf is proud to be home to the most modern SuperPipe in the East. In 2004 the SuperPipe was built to the same specifications the pros ride in the biggest competitions, including the Olympics. Sugarloafer and gold medal-winning snowboarder Seth Wescott got his start here at Sugarloaf and continues to perfect his skills in the pipe and on the slopes. If you're not quite ready to drop into this steep and deep SuperPipe, fear not. Sugarloaf has a second halfpipe just right for learning all the right moves.
The Stomping Grounds
In 2006-07, the Stomping Grounds was transformed into a place to take the first foray into terrain park riding. Located adjacent to Sugarloaf’s Minipipe alongside the Lower Double Bitter trail, the Stomping Grounds features rails and boxes placed close to the ground to build confidence in leaning freeriders.
