This week is dedicated to skiers and riders 50+ who have made a commitment to staying active and seeking out excitement! Enjoy the best skiing in the East at Maine's tallest resort and take advantage of a special Wine Dinner featuring wines from Argentina, Superbowl Parties, Artisan Workshops taught by local craftspeople, plus a Go50 Welcome Party at the Shipyard Brew Haus, Group Ski opportunities, Guided Mountain Tours, Live Music and fun Activities.
Mountains of Maine

Author Steve Pinkham will present a talk and slide show entitled Mountains of Maine: Intriguing Stories behind Their Names, drawing on research from his book of that same name. How did a mountain get the name Moose's Bosom? And what's afoot with the name Toenail Ridge? Avid hiker Steve Pinkham provides informative, quirky, and sometimes downright hilarious answers to these questions. Don't miss this free presentation at the Sugarloaf Inn, 7pm.
Bud Light Locals' Race Series

A SL race followed by an after party with ice cold beer, appetizers and prizes at Judson's. Want to improve your time? The Perfect Turn Race Training Series meets Tuesdays before the races and includes coaching focusing on ski technique and race tactics as well as video analysis and timing. Double Diamond Wine Dinner Featuring Wines of Argentina

Sugarloaf Family Entertainment Series Presents Rick Charette

The Sugarloaf Family Entertainment Series welcomes Rick Charette to the King Pine Room for a live concert at 7pm. Charette's music has been capturing the hearts and spirits of young and old alike with his delightful and inspiring children's songs. His performances blend original contemporary pop music and lyrics with imaginative activities that generate all kinds of audience participation. Charette classics such as "Yellow Bus," "I Love Mud," "Alligator In The Elevator" have proven long-time family favorites - Click here to listen. Joel & Janna Concert

Enjoy a free high-quality, positive impact concert by Joel & Janna at the Dick Bell Chapel at 7pm. Musically, Joel & Janna bear resemblance to artists such as Keane, The Fray, or Sixpence None The Richer, and commend songwriting inspiration to artists like Sara Groves and Mat Kearney. 2nd MH&T Ski Marathon Tour and Race

Festival Night

Presidents' Week Fireworks

Start Presidents' Week off with a bang with a special Mardi Gras Fireworks display provided by the professionals from RS Fireworks. Watch the action from the Beach or head upstairs to the Widowmaker for the best view of the show on the mountain. Show starts at 6:30pm.

Celebrate Maine's skiiing history and heritage at this special holiday Fireside Chat with the Ski Museum of Maine and writer/researcher Scott Andrews. Andrews will be presenting "Schuss-Boom and Schuss-Bust: Maine Skiing's Fast-Paced Growth and Face-Plants, 1945-2009", a narrated digital slideshow with numerous photos of Sugarloaf. Stump Trivia Quiz

28th Annual McKay/Waddle Scholarship Race

Named for Dan McKay and Mike Waddle, the McKay/Waddle Scholarship Race is back and raising scholarship money for young atheletes in the Sugarloaf region. In 2009, organizers raised over $3000! Join us this year on Comp Hill and help us break that number. The races will be followed by a BBQ at the Jean Luce Building. Stay tuned for more details.
