Come join the freestyle freakshow up on the landing at 6:30pm. Snowboarders and skiers alike will be battling it out for the invitation to compete in the Winter X games USASA Exhibition Rail Jam in Aspen, Colorado and the Downtown Showdown in Portland, Maine.

 

If that's not enough, Sugarloaf promises to deliver one of the most creative and fun skate influenced rail builds to date.

 

This event will be a jam format, consisting of multiple heats and a final.

 

The top (mens and womens) snowboarder and (mens and womens) skier will win the invitation to compete in the Winter X Games USASA Exhibition Rail Jam in Aspen, Colorado (invitation only) and the Downtown Showdown in Portland, Maine. There will be various other prizes and bib raffle items up for grabs for all other competitors.

 

USASA Membership Information:

The Sugarloaf Skirmish is a USASA sanctioned event. All competitors must be a USASA Member to compete. However, USASA offers a "Trial membership" at absolutely no cost.

 

Membership Info:

 

Full Membership: $85. Provides access to all USASA events nationwide, inclusion in the USASA National Rankings, eligibility for USASA Nationals invitation, Discounts at Sports Authority and a Free Transworld Snowboarding subscription

 

One Day Temporary Membership: $25. This membership cannot be upgraded at a later date.  No inclusion in the USASA National Rankings and no eligibility for invitation to compete at USASA Nationals.  This option is for former members who only want to do one event.  

 

One Day First Time Ever Free Trial Membership: Free. This Membership can be upgraded to a full membership with all the benefits noted with full membership.  Points earned in the initial event will count towards USASA National Ranking.  This option is for a first time USASA participant who wants to try an event before committing to full membership.

Registration for competitors: $20. Registration opens on the morning of the event and will close at 5pm.

 

Tentative Schedule:

5:00-5:30pm: Skiers / Riders Meeting

6:00-6:20pm: Practice runs

6:30-7:45pm: Event

8:00pm: Winners announced, awards
