Guests vote to decide spring lift operations at Sugarloaf
Guests invited to vote online via Twitter
CARRABASSETT VALLEY, Maine – With the ski season winding down and ski areas scaling back their spring operations, Sugarloaf is offering its guests the opportunity to decide what lifts will run for the remainder of the year, with online voting via Twitter.
Starting on Monday, April 20 Sugarloaf will scale back its operations to two daily lifts through the remainder of the season. Which two lifts the resort will operate will be up to the guests.
Skiers and riders are invited to vote through Sugarloaf’s Twitter account on what lifts they would prefer to have open until the resort’s May 3rd closing date. Voters can choose to have either the Sugarloaf SuperQuad and the Spillway East lifts, or the SuperQuad and the Timberline chair.
Guests are invited to vote throughout the day on Saturday, and votes will be tallied on Sunday to decide lift operations starting Tuesday.
A springtime favorite for skiers and riders throughout the country, Sugarloaf currently has the most open terrain in the east, and will continue operations non stop through May 3.
Twitter users can vote by messaging @sugarloafmaine. Guests without a Twitter account are also invited to vote through Sugarloaf’s online community at http://community.sugarloaf.com.
Lift tickets at Sugarloaf are just $49 through the remainder of the season, and midweek ski and stay packages are available for as little as $49 per person per night. For more information visit www.sugarloaf.com or call 1-800-THE-LOAF.
