John Diller, President: John is a 30+ year veteran of the ski industry, having held senior positions in Skier Services and Operations before becoming Managing Director of Sugarloaf in 1998. He brings to his position an extensive knowledge of the mountain, and under his leadership Sugarloaf has established itself as a four-season resort with extremely loyal guests. Rich Wilkinson, VP of Mountain Operations: " Crusher," as he is better known, started at Sugarloaf as a snowmaker in 1981, then became a grooming machine operator in 1989 and was promoted to Director of Snow Surfaces in 1992. In his current position, Crusher is responsible for all aspects of day-to-day operations at the resort. When he's not on the mountain, Crusher can be found enjoying the surrounding wilderness with his wife, Jano. Both are avid outdoorspeople who enjoy backcountry skiing, fishing, mountain biking and hiking. (email: crusher@sugarloaf.com).


Cathy Witherspoon, VP of Skier Services and Human Resources: Cathy joined the Sugarloaf staff more than 20 years ago as a part-time ski instructor and in 1995 was promoted to the position of Director of Skier Development. Over time her role was expanded to include retail operations at Sugarloaf. In the summer of 2004, Cathy assumed the joint responsibilities for Perfect Turn®, Skier Development and Human Resources at both Sugarloaf and Sunday River. Brad Larsen, VP of Sales and Marketing: Brad Larsen is the newest member of the Sugarloaf senior team, joining the resort in June of 2009.  Larsen was most recently the Director of Marketing at Snowshoe Mountain.  Prior to that, he spent time as the Director of Marketing and Ski School Director at Welch Village Resort in Minnesota and held various roles in the ski industry in Lake Tahoe, California.  Currently, Brad oversees all sales and marketing operations at Sugarloaf. Marcia White, Director of Children's Services: Marcia moved to Sugarloaf in 1974 after graduating from the University of Maine at Orono with a degree in child psychology. Marcia has held a variety of positions at Sugarloaf through the years. She is currently Director of Children's Services, which includes the summer Outdoor Adventure Camp program. Ethan Austin, Communications Manager: A graduate of Tufts University with degrees in English and Environmental Studies, Ethan has been a member of Sugarloaf’s Marketing team since 2005.  A native of Wales, Maine, Ethan grew up skiing at Sugarloaf in the winters and hiking and fishing the surrounding mountains during the summer months. An outdoor enthusiast, Ethan is an avid skier, cyclist, and hiker, and completed a continuous thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail in 2005. Ethan currently lives in Kingfield.
